ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

"Education is the cornerstone of social and economic development, and academic achievement remains one of its most significant indicators. This book presents the findings of an empirical research study conducted in the Upper Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh, with a specific focus on the academic performance of Class X students. The study encompassed both private and government schools, examining achievement across five core subjects: English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science.
Identifying gaps and disparities in student achievement is essential for designing interventions that promote equity and excellence in education. The central aim of this research was to explore whether disparities exist in academic achievement when viewed through the lenses of gender and school management. The authors anticipate that the insights presented here are not only relevant to educators and researchers but also hold practical significance for policy-makers and administrators. It is hoped that the findings of this study will contribute to ongoing discussions on improving educational outcomes and ensuring that every student, regardless of gender or school type, has the opportunity to succeed."
